Is there anything that could have changed for cob export? RC2D was ok.

On import, Truespace has -1.#IO in the info boxes for x, y and z (Location and Size)

not that i know of.. did you make a new .ini? could be a different scaling factor causing it?

On import, Truespace has -1.#IO in the info boxes for x, y and z (Location and Size)

Scaling is set to 0. Also I'm starting with a pof. Try saving a pof-->cob and open in Truespace

EDIT: scaling is set to 0 not 1 on (a delete ini) install.

the installer is leaving that value blank so it should be coming out as 1.0 as that is what i have set as the default value on pConfig->read .. weird

What is SLDC, what does it do, and when is it going to be supported by the engine?

Having the game almost-but-not crash for every model touched by PCS2 is a trifle annoying.

Kazan, could you reopen this bug about smoothing? I can confirm it because I encountered it today while making new asteroids for the MVPs using TS6. It's not urgent - I got around it by applying an autofacet of 120, but should probably be fixed sometime. I can provide some test models if you want them.

I hope it's before the final commit for 3.6.10 then. Debug builds go psychotic on it and while I haven't re-installed to confirm on a clean dir, none of my other exe's like it either.

Atleast an ability to supress break out warnings on it alone would suffice. Kinda hard to play test when half your screen is the desktop.

unknown chunk shouldn't be causing break out warnings... FS2 should just simply ignore the unknown chunk..

oh... INSGs weren't getting corrupted .. just writing out in a way that was breaking FS2's rules (i wasn't reducing duplicate points in the point list, causing INSG verts > 30)

PCS2.01 open+save should correct any broken model

oh.. i'm working on implementing SLDC support in the engine right now

IF YOU HAVE TROUBLES WITH FS2:
  • Please, please, please, READ and UNDERSTAND the sticky threads in FreeSpace & FreeSpace Open Support board.
    A lot of people are willing to help you, but, as anyone can understand, seeing the very same "issues" repeated again and again can become quite depressing. Please, spend a bit of time trying to solve the issue by yourself.
    (Lobo deserves a monument).
  • Then, if you aren't still able to solve your issue, feel free to ask for help in that same board.
    FYI, most of the troubles are caused by wrong mod installations which lead to either missing data or undesired cross-effects between them. Always follow the mod installation instructions and keep a clean FS2 installation as explained in the sticky threads. Two additional links about how the game handles game data:
  • If you think that you've discovered a bug, mantis it.
    Provide as much info as you can, and try to narrow it down. A lonely "FS2 doesn't work" is not a good report.

PCS2.0.1

This bug is very minor and may only affect people making non standard asymetric turrets.

In front view (Blender and Truespace) Triple fire points per turret. (left-01 middle-02 right-03)

When auto-gen by PCS2
Turrets on top of the ship have left swapped with right. Have not tested any other combination.

just the firepoints?
Yes just the firepoints.  :P  In PCS2 auto-gen they are opposite to Truespace/Blender. Only tested turrets on top, didn't try side or bottom turrets.

Hmm, the most recent build I've been using won't let you edit the radius. And it has difficulty clearing the cache between models (I can load model A, go to the header page, load model B, save model B, and it has model A's header.)
