Hi,
i am using FSOpen 3.6.9.

I found the Derelict-Campaign, the only campaign with voice on freespacewiki.

But there are funny problems.

At the first(!) mission nothing happens, for hours and hours!

Fred reportes a problem with a docking point (event?).....?!

Is Derelict compatible with fsopen?

And how can i fix this issue?

Oh, there are more voice-acted campaigns than just Derelict. But, have you downloaded the original Derelict or the SCP version?

How did you install FSO? What mediavps? Computer specs? Drivers? What do you mean whe nyou say "Nothing happens"? As in, all the ships just fly around or float, or as in screen is black? Dude, we need more information so that we can help you.

Ok:
FS_Open 3.6.9 with newsest mediavp.

My computer is really fast enough for this game. 
Drivers are up to Date!

Nothing happens at Mission 1 of the Derelict campaign.

I can start the mission, i can see my cockpit, pilots are talking.

I have to protect the LoneWolf. Ok but than nothing happens.

The LoneWolf is flying around.... for ever!

The problem is a dockingpoint at some ship:

Error in mission event "Poseidon Docks": Invalid dockee point

and so on....

Strange error in a final version  of a campaign ?!

So, what can i do?

Choose from the following options:

1. Use the fs2_open_3_6_9 build and the 3.6.8 Zeta Mediavps.

2. Use one of the fs2_open_3_6_10 builds and the 3.6.10 Beta Mediavps.

In addition:

- Don't make your own mixtures from the builds and mediavps.

- Scan the freighter.

Edit: I think some people have  a working Derelict or not?
Can somebody please extract the first Mission (working) and send it to me? 
I can pack it to vp, and my campaign should be working fine.

There is a good chance that you've goofed up something with your FreeSpace installation. That is why I'd be delighted to know what files you have in your \freespace\ folder. But, suit yourself. The less info we get, the less we can help you. Math is fun.

For campaigns, please see the FreeSpace Wiki. Campaigns that are voice acted have a V next to their name.

Since there might (I'm stressing the word) be a case of a corrupted campaign file, I'm offering you this. Enjoy.

Use a more recent build.

Actually, I would say "Try the build under which Derelict was tested."

Some things that used to work in, say, 3.6.5 are not guaranteed to work in later builds.

Perhaps the dockpoints are named differently in the low and hi-poly models, so if you use the SCP version, make sure to use hi-poly models, and no mediaVPs for retail Derelict.

I had this problem after downloading Derelict from the campaign's website. By downloading the version from Turey's installer for FSO fixed this fault in mission 1 of Derelict for me as it had a newer version of one of the RAR files.
