okok, may I allow myself to comment those ships? yes, I do, coz that many designs, it's a dream for someone like me :D (don't be surprised if I reap some ideas ;) )
1) garak: don't make the missile silos actual holes, it's a waste of polys, they can be done with maps. The basic shape is interesting, but needs more details ( it's a corvette, so you'll end up with large, "naked" polys otherwise)
2) Armageddon: well, well... that's the B5 earth alliance cruiser :p
Way too many polys to be used ingame I'm afraid. Garak lacks details, this one has way too many of them. Never work from a high poly model.
3) Bismark I like. Just one question, do you use intersecting (overlapping) polys? If so, fix that, FS2 won't handle that well, you'll have bad display bugs. This is general to any model, of course
4) Hamburg:  it rules, I love it :)
5) Minautore: see about polycount, overdetailled parts and intersecting polys. no need to make the lasers hollowed (?) out.
Design wise, well, its' question of tastes
6) Locust: from what I can see, I like a lot :) Anyway, check out polycount of some parts ( antennas/turrets on top) and intersecting polys, once again
7) Unix: see minautore
8) Foxtail: idem
9) Libele: idem
10) Vandal: ...
11) Floh: see Locust :) I love the deisgn
12) Ostscout: see unix

yougga, basically, i like a lot your capships, but not much your fighters, voila, an honest opinion if you want one ;)

"Yes! That is my plan, and I see nothing wrong with it. I figure that if I stick to a stupid strategy long enough it might start to work."
