Ok, last 12 hours I worked on same mission about 30 times. I took a break and opened Fred again... I got this message last week with old builds after new install of SCP on my new comp

"open Gl error 1.1 you need 1.2? Update your drivers or switch mode"

I checked launcher it only says open gl or d3d...
I also ran SCp updater and it says I am up to date.

I know my drivers are up to date and ran SCP np all week what happened in 1 hour to regress my open gl 1.2 to 1.1?????

How can I fix this and more importantly keep it from happening again? I've done a week of work after install no problem and this popped up out of the blue?

I need to install mac software for windows vista???

before I DL and install anything I need to know what stripped my former setting to trip up fred (was it the adult site and virus attempt that happened in that last hour?)...

You don't 'download' OpenGL 1.2, you just get up to date drivers.  If you think they're up to date, you probably have deeper problems going on with them than you might think.  You can try uninstalling the drivers, rebooting, and reinstalling them, which may work better than just installing them again.  You might try to run a driver cleaner, but last time I did that it broke D3D 7 support on my pc, so I can't really recommend it.  I doubt your OpenGL actually regressed though.  Sorry this isn't probably very helpful, but I can't say anything else other than I'm sure you don't need mac software to fix your problem.

OpenGL 1.2 is years old. You're finding links to it because nothing else uses it.

Which version of FRED are you using?

I got a new computer last month, reinstalled scp 2 weeks ago everything ran fine, should have gotten the message first thing like I did when I treid to run off my old drive then decided to install new to C drive (no problems). Two weeks later and many many uses of FRED later message pops up for no reason.

I only tried fred 3.6.9 I opted to dl the .10 stuff out of curiousity but haven't touched the exe or 10 fred yet
(was going to ask if normal/bump mappage is 10.

now that I got a decent vid card (Nvidia gt 8500)

I'll try Fred 10 and then reinstalling video drivers. I need to solve this or I can't mod crap.

Ok I tried 3.6.10 and it worked then I closed and tried 3.6.9 it opened????? Don't care problem solved (Reboot computer).... Moving on... "By your Command"...
