Amazing that my 2 favorite games were interplay games and interplay folded 2 years later. amazing that they were both so critically acclaimed and sold so poorly.

I don't believe him but I went to check and Wikipedia and a video game news page today to find out it was true  It is not that I want a freespace3 I do but the only way I want a freespace3 is if it was done right. PC only, same gameplay, and was made with David Barnic, Jason Scott, and Atom Pletcher.

i hope they dont bring out fs for the consoles , but i think it is doable the controls can be run from a scroll based hud, using a joystik with a pov , then its just a case of alocating buttons , and mapping them....................

FreeSpace3 would only work on console if it went the way of Steel Battallion and included a cockpit set on the game.

Which would, obviously, be pretty awesome but even more unrealistic than having the game in the first place, since it would be even more of a huge investment risk to any game studio/publisher who would do it...

But I recently bought Project Sylpheed which is a decent free form space shooter and Ace Combat 6 which is a really good free form action flight game. Both played really well. Both games, however, have awkward and flaccid dialog owing to their Japanese origins.

Isn't Interplay's return contingent on them securing enough funds and investors, which is not guaranteed by any means?

but guys, forget about it. Freespace 3 that i know we all have wanted at one point or another will NEVER come. There may be a freespace 3, but it wont be ours. besides, with V gone to making games that make halo and doom seems like little preschool stuff, it will never be the REAL freespace 3, even if V did do it.
