I've gotta say i bought the Ministry's annual 08 and mash up mix 08 and it's brought some classics back to the fore for me. So it gives me great pleasure to get the ball rolling with my first fave tune of this year-

How do people tend to find new music to listen to?  I listen to the radio allot when I'm driving somewhere but I almost never catch the song name or artist name so I never find out what I was just listening to and what I like so I never buy anything.  I don't want to spark a debate about music downloads...more curious in the methods that people use to find out what they like.

Like yourself i just listen to the radio. When i'm out i'm one of those annoying twats who ends up pally with the DJ and helping choose music. It all stems from just picking a favourite scene, if i stray from it i'm lost.

I use the internet and look for bands of the same genre as what I currently listen to. I hate the radio and hardly ever listen to it.

Memorise key words from lyrics and then search online.

Other than that just... listenning and seeing if we like is another way.
