Looking for a Image Viewer....
Yes I know this kind of thread is getting old.  :p

Anyways, this image viewer has to allow me to view a sideshow from a file directory, much like Picasa or the built in windows XP slideshow feature.

However, this program must also let me pause and zoom in while still maintaining fullscreen slideshow mode.

Point me there please!  :)

Re: Looking for a Image Viewer....
IrfanView comes to mind first and foremost as perhaps the most featureful image viewing/sorting/limited editing program. Haven't used it aside from occasional batch conversion of FS2 effect animation file resizing from originals, but I wouldn't be surprised if it had exactly what you're looking for.
There are three things that last forever: Abort, Retry, Fail - and the greatest of these is Fail.

Re: Looking for a Image Viewer....
XnView is a good alternative to IrFanView and the two programs are usually toe-to-toe in the quest for useable features and the race of keeping a trim codebase at the same time.

After getting tired of AcdSee Classic - it didn't have *any* unicode support - I looked for an alternative. AcdSee has become bloatware. Hence I needed something else.

I found XnView and IrFanView the best for my practices. I read manga as well as comics on my PC, so needed something more flexible than a bare-bones viewer, but it also needed to be more streamlined than an editor.

I finally settled on XnView as I could configure it to reproduce all my AcdSee ingrained key-commands and behavior. I say, try both, one may be to your liking.

Re: Looking for a Image Viewer....
Flaser, for comics I would recommend this little app:
http://www.geocities.com/davidayton/CDisplay.html

It's the standard for viewing .cbr and .cbz files, even though these are just fancy zips and rars.

Re: Looking for a Image Viewer....
After trying out all the options I found XnView to be the best.

I found Infranview to be too bloated/contain too many useless features and I found CDisplay to not have a zooming feature at all, but a magnifying feature instead. Thanks again guys!  :)

Flaser wins a cookie.

Enjoy!

Re: Looking for a Image Viewer....
IrfanView has slide shows, and a ton of other features, and is fast and light. It wins hands down.
Gettin' back to dodgin' lasers.

Re: Looking for a Image Viewer....
Well yeah but I meant for my purposes, which is simply to view a slideshow where I can pause and manipulate individual slides.
