Hi. Me again, i've had too much free time this week so i filled it with FreeSpace. Hence all the questions.
Firstly i can't seem to find the -jpg flag in the aforementioned launcher.
Secondly, my impact .ani and subach in game are showing black boxes (no transparency?) Is this a common prob/easy fix?

+ 3.6.10 uses jpgs or tgas by default. -jpgtga flag has been removed.

+ The black boxes are bitmaps with wrong alpha channel. Now alpha channel fully controls transparency. If you use mediavps 3.6.8zeta, be sure to download the alpha patches too. They fix original mediavps bitmaps with wrong alpha channel.

Basically if bitmaps haven't got alpha channel at all - pcx, jpg, 24 bit tga, DXT1c or u888 DDS files - then it uses 'additive blending' (black is transparent). If the files have alpha channel - 32 bit TGA, DXT5 or u8888 DDS, then they use 'alpha blending' (alpha channel controls transparency).

That'll come in handy now i can actually generate DDS files. (I -Finally- tracked down the dll files i needed as the NVidia site had none)  my wap browser can't find/display the media.vp site. Anyone have a working link to that fix?

Have you looked at the main Mediavps 3.6.8.zeta thread? 

I've just tested alpha patches download links... and they work flawlessly
