Cause all of my friends "socialise" with each other, even though we we live less than five miles apart at the farthest point, are allowed to bike that far, and are all allowed that far late at night. It's not the fact of privacy rather the fact that it's a giant waste of time. All of the "groups" like "ZOMG BE VAMPIREZ!!!" and "ZOMG BE WEREWOLVEZ!!!" are just clones of each other.  It is just a stupid idea.

Side note: MSN Messenger should be up there if it isn't.

I'll have to argue that. Facebook might be overrated to you if you live less than five miles from all your friends. When most of your friends live a thousand miles away from you it becomes a little more practical.

That's also why Facebook wasn't meant for high schoolers who all live in the same town.

The item with the most votes is by definition not the most overrated because there is enough people who actually recognize it's alleged lack of fidelity.
