hehe, what I do with poser is get cool models like this one, and export them to 3ds so I can use them in Max

yeah i exported a model from poser 3 into lightwave - think i might need tog et poser 4 though the models are of a destinctly higher quality

This is standard Poser 4. The textures are done by me which is where the detail is mostly from.

I know that I need to tweak the hair mesh, clothing positions, etc. but since this was only a test (same as my last renders I posted here) it doesn't matter too much.

Ace, could i get you to work up a few textures for my fs2 mod? just a few fighters. Need bitmaps with approprate details, instead of relying on capital ship textures. Help me out?

You really did a good job on the hair and the skin texture. Can't wait to see the finished product.

Well I have to admit that the hair and skin textures aren't entirely mine, I mixed a few from Renderosity together plus edited some photograph parts in. (no, no dirty pictures

)

The end result was pretty good. On the hair the transmap I did up but the base hair texture is from a horse skin since when a bump map is added it looks fuller. (this was a test so I didn't have bump maps on the skin and hair)

The metal and leather was quickly done up in Correl and PSP respectively.

Looking good, though I'd suggest you try to focus on a GTVA style military uniform or something - it would fit the HLP theme better (not that I didn't do my share of Poser work, I even have a small gallery at Renderosity)...
