Meh, what does overall speed matter when Vasudans have such long-firing afterburners. The Serapis is cool, though not my favourite.
My favourite ship would be . . . . the Lilith. More because of the idea behind its name than anything else. Though also because it can murder all kinds of things. Kaboom!

As I understand it, Lilith is the first wife of Adam in the Bible. She's a myth created to rectify the existence of two creation stories. In the second, more secularized "garden of eden" story, Eve is created from Adam and in a subservient role. But in the first creation story, man and woman are created together. Lilith however, doesn't want to be subservient so basically she says "screw you" and takes off and eventually becomes a demon or something like that.
So yeah, family of demons . . . but far more interesting than that. The FS wiki mentions the whole first wife thing, but it doesn't really explain it accurately imo (says Eve took the "aspect of Lilith" when she bit the apple?? thus Lilith is the first wife or somesuch, but . . . as I understand it that's not correct). Or at least not the version I like. Some people seem to be totally oblivious to the first creation story since popular media only mentions the garden of eden.
I've also read a book in my studies called Lilith by George MacDonald. It also, incidentally contained a character named Mara but she was more a good character than an evil one.
