I'd like to add, that as terrible losing a leg is, your friend is still alive at least.  This is a good thing.

As for me, I'm currently watching a red dawn.  The color is brief and beautiful.  And now I'll probably sleep until darkness falls again.  So mellow.

I'm on day three of a four day first aid at work course. I'm constantly getting told off for defaulting to my battlefield first aid training and either being too rough with the casualties,   doing the correct procedures before i'm told and funniest of all. . . Triaging the casualties and writing dead on their foreheads because they're unresponsive. :D
