Oh hey, Gortef, I have flu too, and in the warship sense, I have absolutely no Sensors and 40% Engines right now.
Two days ago, I found myself hawking up huge globs of green slime, but I still felt relatively okay. I did take a cold tablet and it seemed to work. At night, I found myself getting tired pretty quickly (at around 10 pm, when I usually go to bed at 2 am) and I left HLP IRC with the quit message "I feel like hell".
Yesterday evening, just as I was about to go down to buy dinner, my sister noticed how flushed I looked and realised that I was having a fever, so she went down instead. Two hours later, while in bed and reading some Christian comic book (for fun), I took my temperature and got 38.7 degrees Celsius.
I switched to taking a Panadol pill every four hours until this afternoon, when I took my temperature again and got a reading of 38.4 degrees Celsius. The 0.3-degree drop was what prompted me to go to my local doctor to get it sorted out the proper (and more expensive way). He told me that I was suffering from some sort of flu that affected the upper body and gave me the following medicine:
* Anti-fever pills
* 90ml cough syrup
* Anti-blocked nose pills
* Antibiotics
The antibiotics is the heavy artillery, which I won't consume unless the other three medicines fail to mitigate the flu. I'm not consuming the antibiotics until tomorrow or the day after, if my temperature still refuses to drop.
I've taken two anti-fever pills and one anti-blocked nose pill. A side note on the anti-fever pills state: "May cause drowsiness". Given that I've spent most of the past 12 hours in bed, I'd like to see how long I can stay awake.
