I realised I have a very large number of untextured, undetailed ships.

I also spent two hours hand-detailing one section of yet another ship.

The other day I found out that RTSes set in olden times are more awesome that futuristic ones. I played Midevil 2 Total War at a freind's house (his disk, but it runs on my computer cause his is ancient) and found it much more satisfying to see your two armies mash into each other instead of standing at a distance and shooting.

What is the point of limited-edition food? I understand seasonal, but limited-edition? Like those Chips Ahoy Fudge Cups--they're good but... limited edition? WTF?

Medieval 2 really is a ridiculously awesome game. The style's not really my speed, but watching some of the situations my brother's managed to get himself into while he played through it has been greatly entertaining.

And on a related note, Age of Empires 2 utterly owned my soul for a month or two earlier this summer.

It's rather more satisfying to watch your boyz literally smash another army to bits. More visceral action.

My computer has been doing some wierd stuff lately. First there was a mysterious STOP error saying something about the page file using an area it was supposed to or something, now it always uses the page file, even though memory usage was below the amount of physical memory I had.....or so I thought until I went to run ccleaner to get rid of the 1.3 GB (!) of windows temp files, and it said my system only had ~240 MB of RAM (and I ran DXDiag to confirm it). Conclusion, based on that , I believe one of my memory sticks died, causing the STOP error the other day. I'll switch the socket on the remaining stick to make sure it isn't a socket problem, and then if it isn't then I'll go buy some new memory. If it is then I'll buy more memory anyway because this isn't enough.
