test on tuesday that our professor was kind enough to inform us we WILL be failing.  still trying to salvage something passable out of senior design.  wasn't senior year supposed to be fun?

All my teachers tell me that  "Guys, you better study hard. The honors students that took this last week didn't get more then 40%."

And then they go on about how this happens every year, and I'm left to wonder WHY THE HELL THEY DON'T CHANGE THEIR OWN TEST. Then I ace it without studying and realize they're bluffing.

I'm not saying don't study, but don't sweat it too much. Teachers are just trying a way to help you do better.

Heh, at the college level some of those professors are not bluffing. It's not unusual, at least at my college, for more than half the class to fail a test consistently.

Of course, in that instance the professor usually grades on a curve. In one of my classes I've not scored above a 70 on anything and I have a solid B.

yeh, well, he's not bluffing.  this class is [Nuclear] Reactor Systems.  they don't change it cuz there's just no way to water that down.  this class in a nutshell is learning everything in one semester that actual nuclear industry professionals take a minimum of 2, but more on the order of 3-4 years to learn to run the reactors.

we got pretty much the same treatment last semester, but we knew it was getting curved.  this one, that's not a definite.  last semester, i got a b+ in a class while getting a test average of around 60

I bloody love these films. I saw The Pit when I was very young and i've not felt terror like it since. That includes my Army and Terminal days.

I made a program that lets me scatter rocks. And it has an alternate thing where I can place boulders.

Tomorrow I'm going to make yet another attempt at Constructive Solid Geometry. And maybe I'll make some other things I can add, too... like pebbles. Oh, and support for more than just the one texture on every goddamn polygon.

Edit: Oh! And I remembered that lovecraftismissing resumed weekly episodes on April 2nd! Yay!
