Damn i am so a such noob or is this mission so hard???
The mission i must scan the capital ship near the EA Raider base.

Scan is not the problem but how i can reach the extraction point. ??
After giving them the wrong Authorisation Code there are hostile and attack me. I shot down many of them (Bonus Objective) but in the end they will kill me. I died now 4 times in the row and iam very frustrated. I don't like die the 5. time to skip. i will win this mission.

Why in da hell any missons so easy and other too hard that a average player go to eat the Keyboard and throw the Mouse to the wall.

This game is soo great but in such moments i hate it.

I'm sorry, Renegade, but there is no "trick" for this mission. But if you do the followings you 'll have a great chance to win :

1> Scan the base and then divert all power to engine, then run as soon as possible.
2> Order alpha 2 to protect you, this will help a lot (he will die, not you).
3> Don't fly in a straight way, try to spiral.
4> Use asteroids as your shield.

Same here. I need some help. I am stuck on the mission where you have to keep Altair station from being destroyed and the jump gate also. I do not know what I am doing wrong. Do I have to take out the G.O.D Sat first or is there something else I have to do?

This mission can be completed without cheating. In situations where you can't be in two places at once, you be in one place and make sure your wingmen are in the other. Also make sure you pick a ship and weapons that are appropriate to the mission.

I use the opportunity to disable the GOD Satellite before i fly to the PSI-Cops (trigger).

If i use hacks to modify the game this is cheating. But not this.

Other Question. One mission earlier comes 4 Battleships from the Raiders to destroy altair station. exist any possibility to prevent them to destroy Station ? or is this a script. In Fact in next mission Altair Station is already alive.

Ok let me be clear on this. I wrote this mission. I made a decision to allow you to cheat. But it is cheating.

Ok thanks. Now I am stuck on the same mission that the guy who made this post, was talking about. How the heck do I scan something? That is what I can not figure out. Is there a key that I have to press or is the scan automatic when I get close enough to the base and ship? Also which way do I have to go after I do the scan? From what I understand is I have to do the scan and then take off like a bat out of hell.

Oh and BTW I just love this mod. I am a big fan of B5. I have watched every episode and movie. The Same for Star Trek. and Space above and beyond. So when I see a space combat/flight sim game. I have to try it out.

To scan something you first target it.  If you need to scan a subsystem then you target the subsystem.  Next you have to fly close to the object keeping it centered.  The target info box in the lower left corner will show scanning and then scanned.

i am hanging on same mission. I scanned the Battlawagon and then i flay away - but nothing happens. is there more to scan ?

Aye. I think they were all on the objective list. As a general rule: if the raiders don't turn hostile on your arse, you haven't remembered to scan all the subsystems.

Hmm. Battlewagon? Was there a ship as well? For me it has also been a while since I've played any TBP. But still. Your primary objective is to scan the subsystems of the asteroid base.

yeah i scanned the subsystems as well.

In the CRT lower left i see then :Scanned 100%
but if i fly away to avoid patrols.. nothing will be happen. I fly a half hour with Afterburner but i don't find a extraction point.
Is there more to scan as the one Battleship ??? Raider Base is not possible to scan.

Raider Base is not possible to scan.

The Raider base can and must be scanned. Or more precisely, its subsystems must be scanned. Use S to cycle through the subsystems. Scan all the ones you are ordered to scan.

You have four things to scan in total:

Scan the Archon (battlewagon) first. Just target it and get close enough for the scan lines to do their magic Don't bother with its subsystems.

Now go back to the original mission target - the asteroid base. Target it by selecting it with Target Escort (default "e"). I hope you remember what key you mapped to Target Next Subsystem... Keep hitting it until you see the name of the subsystem in the target box. You need to select one of the three mission targets (Weapons, Sensors, Comm IIRC), fly to it (your HUD's targetting will highlight the selected subsystem of the target ship if its in visual range) and try to get close and get it centred to bring up the scanlines. This can be tricky on large ships due to things sticking out of them, and this here Asteroid Base is no exception. Oh, and...

Spoiler:

Once you've scanned the first target subsystem get your skates on and scan the other two ASAP - 'cuz merry hell is about to break loose...

You'll know if you've scanned all the right targets because you'll get an update and your Escort List will switch to show a position marker instead of the base. NOW run for your life (toward the marker preferably!) - divert all power to engines, max the throttle and abuse your burners. Once you reach the marker you'll get a repeating message, hold tight and wait for your ride home.
