If you want to help, we need someone to convert models and we need a webmaster.  That's about it.

Thanks for reply. Well, I would if I could, but I don't know anything about model conversion. TBP has 120 ships ingame, so my guess is somewhere around the TBP forum converting guys are sneaking around. Make a post there ! Perhaps some of you can do something babylonish for the converters in return ?

As for progress, TBP just released a final version.  I believe the previous version was released before we even started the Star Wars Conversion...  How many years ago was TBP started again?  And just now the final release is out?  Yet you're prodding at us complaining that we're not releasing anything yet.

I mean really, first you come and post here with a somewhat inflammatory and insulting tone, then offer to help, then say that there really isn't anything you can do for us.

If you want this mod out faster, you can help work on it, until then, the release date as far as you're concerned remains "When it's done."  And that should be enough.


Don't knock our progress.  By the way, I think this thread should be locked, there really isn't any good that can come out of it.

Sorry man, TBP has started MANY years ago, when it comes to development speed we are not exactly in the position to point fingers.
I thought fate of galaxy had similar developmen time. I just remember havin it seen long ago..

Please don't take the whole thing as an offense, I am loving star wars and just wanted to show how anxious I am

It does have similar development time, unfortunately, what was started long ago is no longer what the project is today, it was reborn with a virtually new staff and new plan.  So it's only been around for a little over a year now.

What is your plan ?

It was old, basically.  A good chunk of it wasn't original content, but imports from other mods.  What was original, simply won't impress anyone these days, as it was at least 3 or 4 year old material, before a lot of new features made their way into the engine.  The direction also changed a bit, in that we're aiming to make it feel more like a Star Wars sim, and less like an arcade game.  You'll still be able to jump right in and tear stuff up, but the curious people will notice accurate terminology and naming of craft and weapons, a bit more realistic flight model (but still WWII in space essentially) and a fairly different gameplay style from the old Lucasarts games.

now if these people were normal, it would probably make them work faster, but these are computer ppl... crafting things we CAN'T do.... so it backfired

anywho, I'm not a frequent poster, or a die hard fan of Star Wars, but DAMN your models look good! keep it up

We'll probably have a 1300 before the Outrider, but I'd like to see all three of the well known Corellian freighters done by the same person eventually.  (Falcon, Outrider, and Otana)

It takes a long time to do these sorts of things. They only have about 8 people, and they have RL to worry about.
They can only probably devote an hour or two every day to this. And also, they're stuck with the same situation as the blackwater ops have. Everytime they get something done, they have to restart because SCP has gotten some new, important feature. And they have to make it again so that its not some out-of date piece of s***. Sorry, but thats how it is.
