hehe, after all, my first PC was a 33, so why not?

Joke apart, on my parents PC ( a 750, 128 MBr),  XP pro is already damn slow so on a 450 I don't even dare to imagine...

Yeah Kazaa doesnt run when you shut it the spyware off. Im downloading Morpheus right now :)
Got Ether?

No I am sorry   :o  It is actaually 450 MHz. Crud if it was 45 I couldn't possibly run FS2. Imagine a fighter going at a speed of 1 mm per second....

Well anyway, I made a mistake, but who cares, it is good to have a good laugh from time to time.

Anyway, I couldn't run WIN XP anyway

You're in luck, dude. I was running Kazaa months ago, and I tried out Morpheus. When I loaded up Morpheus, I saw it listed _all_ the downloads I had queued (sp?! Dang that looks funny!) up from Kazaa. They really are essentially the same program, just one doesn't use spyware.

When you download a file from someone, you'll see that the majority of users are something@Kazaa or something@MusicCity. Those ones with Kazaa are sharing files via Kazaa, and those with MusicCity are running Morpheus - both are completely interchangeable. :)

"...The quintessential quality of our age is that of dreams coming true. Just think of it. For centuries we have dreamt of flying; recently we made that come true: we have always hankered for speed; now we have speeds greater than we can stand: we wanted to speak to far parts of the Earth; we can: we wanted to explore the sea bottom; we have: and so  on, and so on: and, too, we wanted the power to smash our enemies utterly; we have it. If we had truly wanted peace, we should have had that as well. But true peace has never been one of the genuine dreams - we have got little further than preaching against war in order to appease our consciences. The truly wishful dreams, the many-minded dreams are now irresistible - they become facts." - 'The Outward Urge' by John Wyndham

"The very essence of tolerance rests on the fact that we have to be intolerant of intolerance. Stretching right back to Kant, through the Frankfurt School and up to today, liberalism means that we can do anything we like as long as we don't hurt others. This means that if we are tolerant of others' intolerance - especially when that intolerance is a call for genocide - then all we are doing is allowing that intolerance to flourish, and allowing the violence that will spring from that intolerance to continue unabated." - Bren Carlill

The only way for them to shut it down is to goto everyone's house and check their computers for it.  See, it uses peer to peer instead of client/server like Napster.  They couldn't shut it down, even if they tried.  It would cost too much money and isn't worth the trouble.

Hey, my system isn't much better (Pentium II 400 [@496], 128Mb RAM) and I run XP just fine, even with all the eye candy turned on and with a higher level of performance than Win2k gave me (which is what I find most surprising).

They could send a kill signal out across the Kazaa network thus d/c ing everyone and do this constantly. But I think that's classed as hacking and wouldn't be allowed, like when the CIA were being hacked and they fought back they got in big trouble.

i don't know if the Kazaa team has any rights to hack (sending spyware is hacking) on other PCs. They say somewhere in their (the f word) list of rights that we will have to agree to accept every program that comes along with Kazaa. This does not include spyware or even viruses which are both harmfull. For example, do you think that it would be ok if for instance Volition or Intercrap placed a virus or a trojan or spyware in FS1 or FS2?  I know they didn't do it of course but the Kazaa team has no right to place harmfull programs in their application. They should know the rules for that kind of game. :mad2:

However, as I said before we should spread the word. Tell your friends and as much people as possible about this. I always say, good things travel far, but bad travel further. All of my friends know allready about this Kazzcrud and they are spreading the word.

Unfortunately, the only possible way for the USA government to find about this is if they download Kazaa and find out what harm it brings. Than, they should put an end to this. I hope.

However, maybe throgh this thread we will be able to inform people here. Why not? We can bump this anyway. We are good with that aren't we? Well the choice is yours.

Well I gotta go now

Actually, that would be classed as a Denial of Service attack. :)  We all know thats illegal as hell and lets just say they'd be called hypocrites for doing that and then punishing people that did it in the past. :p

Don't the RIAA want laws put in place that make that sort of stuff legal for them?

Neat, isn't it? Makes you wonder why anyone would use Kazaa at all....

Unfortunately, there's a lot going wrong in the world today, a lot of bad stuff coming from the governments. I'm particularly upset with what's happened with the Tampa, the refugees who came to Australia for help, the asylum seekers our Prime Minister turned away... and there's a whole string of bad things coming from that. Really, it just gets worse the higher you get up. But it makes you wonder.. what exactly are these heads of state going through? :(

Isn't it strange... how before, I had no power, and all the choices I could ever want... and now, I have all the power I could ever want... but no choice... no choice at all...

Well I don't know much about the USA government but this is deffinetly a chaos what those @ss****s who made Kazaa are doing. From now on I am never gonna download any programme of that kind such as Kazaa. I allready deleted it from my backup CDs my hard drive. I don't want to have any ugly memories.

Oh and BTW, I was infected by the Love Letter f******g virus :mad2: :mad2: :mad2: :mad2: (sorry for that word) thanks to Kazaa, but with help of my Norton Anti-Virus I was able to clean it off of my PC. Well I hade to make sacrifices.
