New stuff available... ( debriefing screen fixed, mainhalls )
I have
- the IO mainhall ( simple mainhall that doesnt kill framerate )
- the ISN-newsroom mainhall ( fun mainhall , but annoying after a few days )
- DEBRIEFING picture fix ( text field on debriefing picture all black, making text easier to read )

all ready-to-go as .VP files

ALL is just visual fun stuff that doesn't alter crucial TBP content in any way.
Since some were done on personal request, and I have no access to a server at moment....

Individual files:

Just put the files in your TBP directory. If you employ one of the mainhalls, just put ONE there, not both of them.

Presumably your mainhalls can be selected by the FREDder in the same way as the Terran/Vasudan ones?

Re: New stuff available... ( debriefing screen fixed, mainhalls )
Oh ? No.

TBP offered ONE mainhall so far, the rotating babylon station.
These VPs here replace our rotating Babylon station.
The reason was : The station was a FRAMERATE KILLER on low end systems.

The ISN newsroom is fun, but as I said earlied.... its really fun for a few days, but then it gets annoying.
The IO mainroom is a simple and epileptic-friendly mainroom... my choice at moment.

There will be no choosing between mainrooms:
We have a STRICT compatibility policy.

If I had included the possibility to choose between mainrooms ( and thus HAVING multiple mainrooms ), people would like to make missions / campaigns using different mainrooms. And THESE would disagree with official TBP-retail which has only one mainroom. You would REQUIRE this addon to make this other TBP stuff work, and NO addon whatsoever can be allowed to be a requirement for ANYTING ELSE to work.

One reason we had SO LITTLE campaigns in the past was : after a while a new release ( with new stuff ) came out, breaking all previously created missions and campaigns.
No one fredded, because your work was made obsolete with new releases. This shall not happen again.

Re: New stuff available... ( debriefing screen fixed, mainhalls )
Actually in release builds you wouldn't. If you provide an index for the mainhall that doesn't exist it defaults back to the standard TBP one. Which would leave all your stuff optional.

Unfortunately in debug mode it pops up a warning about that which would get annoying. I'd forgotten about that warning and thought it did it silently in both cases.

Re: New stuff available... ( debriefing screen fixed, mainhalls )
Skullar never did quite understand my stance on backward compatability. Which is basically I don't mind add-ons which actually add to the functionality of the mod. My main problem is with add-ons which modify existing functionality, thus breaking backward compatability. Which technically Skullar's add on here actually does. Since it overrides the existing mainhall.

In this case I can't see it doing any damage so I'll let it slide.
Be warned: This site's admins stole 100s of hours of my work. They will do it to you.

Well.... then I take back everything I said. This backward compatibility thing is the important one, I agree.
No "breaking previous stuff" stuff !
