ok, this is the thread for my summer project, which will be a standalone game to be completed one year from today.  it will be based on fs2_open and have original ships and campaign and all, but i need some help from you guys on a couple of things.

first thing.



is the basic shape for this a blatant rip-off of something else?  I drew it on some notebook paper and threw this geometry together real quick.

I kind of like it and think it would make a nice basic shape for the terran race to be based on.

Looks nice, i could be anything from a drone (i like this idea) to a destroyer (like steve-O's)

One guess: Zam Wessel's speeder?

EDIT: Does this mean you're done with SWC? Just sorta wondering...

In it's current shape it looks vaguely Kilrathi, but don't get too carried away with making it 'different', like music, no matter what you write, someone else has already written it somewhere, the secret is in the presentation

what IS IW2? i keep hearing about those things, but i can't fiugre out what they are. googleing the acronym just gives a bunch of junk...

I like it, it reminds me of a Chaos Hell Blade fighter from Warhammer 40K but less spikey looking.

hm, you're right, it is a lot like the chaos hellblade fighter.

i'll make some adjustments to the design.
