Mothballs

what are the weapons in fs2 open that look like flaming mothballs? i can't seem to remember. all i know is what i said and i hate them. does anyone know what they are? also is anyone thinking of remodeling them?

Morningstars are good for sentry guns and nothing else.
Lampreys are worthless. (Might try giving the AI some to see how annoying they get though).

The kinetic weapon evolution


Flail > Lamphey > Morning Star

FS1 > Reconstruction > FS2

Lamphey is a C**p upgrade to a useless weapon. Morning star is only one that is any good

I enjoy using the morning star to push fighters around, that's about it.

The Circe is actually a decent weapon, as is the Flail.

The Lamprey is somewhat useful in an Ares because it will keep the more maneuverable fighters from totally destroying you.

The Morning Star is useless

The Circe would've been more useful if it fired a bit faster. The Lamprey never appealed to me, the difference it made to the AI was really negligible IMO. It works if there are 1 or 2 enemy fighters, but if you have more than 3 it's useless. As soon as you drain the energy of one, the others have already recharged and are shooting at you again. The Morning Star is like the Flail but less useful, really.

well whatever it is i think it would be better remodeled. it dosn't quite give the particle impression. more of a well - flaming mothball impression
