Because several people think it's already an old joke. A few people do that anymore, one of them being Mobius who suffers from internal bleeding every time a new guy has been without a beam for over two hours, hmm.

The welcome speech was quirky and nice for a while, but then a whole wave of nubs sank their teeth into it. After that, it was changed, thrown around and generally abused so much that it lost all semblance of meaning. In record time it went from a quaint forum tradition that only a few of the lifers really fully understood, to a tired cliche trotted out so often that if it were gum, nobody'd be able to tell if it was peppermint or spearmint.

lolz if you don't like it, convince everyone to stop working on the SCP & mods.. they will eventually leave, no worries.    Then you could use the wayback machine and pretend HLP was still up & running.  (Just funning around here, in case anyone wanted to take that seriously.  Denied.)
