Alot of fun trying this thing out, definitely thinking about getting the whole game when it's released.

Same, except I'm going to buy a copy, and then pirate the damned thing.
Why pirate it ?

Limited to three lifetime hardware installations, SecuRom, EA game, etc..

WHAT THE F**K?
Thats really offputting. I don't see why i should fork over hard earned cash for a game which limits my installs. I'm currently playing Quake2 (bought in 90something) on my lan with my younger bro. Games i say for i expect to be able to use for the rest of my life.
What happens when i buy the inevitable upgrade system and pass my beast on to someone deemed worthy.

Ah. I see the reason for pirating now. The Veil has been lifted from my eyes.

Nothing? Because you have to do that three times for it to become an issue. And then you can just crack it.

Seriously, cry me a river. I get that there's the potential for it to be a problem sooner, and some people clearly have gripes with SecuRom, but it's ridiculously easy to circumvent. Refusing to buy games like this because of its copy-protection is only going to hurt the wrong people. EA's certainly not going to give a **** if Spore's sales disappoint, and neither will they stop using copy-protection - they'll just take less risks in future.

What if Dekker decides to install it on his (nonexistent) laptop as well? THen he can only upgrade 1 PC, once.

Hmmm. I'm planning on installing it on my laptop and PC, tbh. So that means 2/3 chances gone.

I appreciate companies put the effort in to develop. That's why i buy games and don't pirate. I don't see why i should have to repurchase later on in life though. If i had to do it with my copy of Half-Life 1 for example over the years and formats / reinstalls due to space prioritisation etc. I'd be on purchase number twenty odd by now. Equivalent to about six hundred quid. That's ridiculous.

You don't need to buy another copy. If you use all your installs you can call EA and they'll raise your limit.

So why don't they do that in the first place?

Because they're assholes? I don't know. That's not the point.

Probably they can check if your previous three installs are still active. I doubt they'd raise your limit if you still had three activations still seeing frequent use.

True, true. If you ask me, they shoul d have 3 install limit, but if the earlier installs aren't having frequent use then free it up.

Funny, I don't really find the 3 lifetime installs much of a problem. It's just like how Microsoft tries to stop Microsoft Office piracy. They do the same stuff but really, you can call in and it'll all be fine (provided you're not too lazy to call).

Well i don't have an active "all the time" internet connection. So i don't really see how peter molyneux can or will wright (whoever :p) would be able to stop me on a legitimate purchase.

A question for you guys, Do shivans have mouths?

In the Hallfight Movie they didn't seem to have any, and the images from volition don't show anything resembling one (and I personally think that they look cooler without one) but I was wondering if there was anything in the cannon about this?

The only thing I have that might suggest they do is the following image.

There seems to be the hint of a mouth between the bottom eye and the middle two...
That's a Shivan? I always thought it was a Sath.
