Thirty summink. Roundabout thirty six. If i'm wrong i apologise K  If i remember the first London bash he said once i hit thirty i'll stop going out and stuff. I'm sacred. Plus all my friends are already married and settling down. I've escaped that net already. I'm having a mid-life at twenty six. :shake:

Not that true! I went out this weekend............and suffered for it all Sunday!

Re: What does your name mean?
Technically, it should be NGTM-1R, but the site doesn't like all-caps or dashes.

It dates back to when I joined DropShipCommand, a BattleTech site, lo those many eons ago. It's patterned after the majority of BattleMech model numbers; NGTM-1R=Nightmare, after the first 'Mech I designed. This was itself not greatly exceptional, being a walking Particle Projection Cannon battery of doom like most noobinator 'Mechs. What was exceptional was that it had been designed using the rules right out of the box set, so it was L1 gear, standard PPCs and single heatsinks, and as such it tended to strain the bounds of sanity to sustain all-weapons fire for very long. However it remains one of the few L1 designs I've ever seen that can maintain continous dual fire with PPCs.

Referenced from here in 2002! Still holds true....

My first user name (and my PXO login) is Black Lion, but I liked Blue Lion better, and you can guess my surprise when the last squadron was the 70th Blue Lions. I was a bit shocked.

Doesn't really mean anything, not a Voltron reference or anything like that, just a name I picked.

CBT. As for looks like, I never really nailed that down. Something like the original version of the Warhammer but including Awesome's torso-mounted PPCs, probably. At other times I leaned towards a design more like the original Marauder, but with the upper autocannon mount removed and two PPC mounts on either side of the upper torso that resemble it.

I remember. I always tried to stuff my 'Mech full of PPCs. Then I couldn't see diddly when I fired.

Re: What does your name mean?
Seems to mean raccoon in English. I was a little surprised. Though in my motherlanguage that is obviously a shortened form of archangel Michael. Seems that there is a meaning also in Japanese, but I wont go there.

Family name means safe haven for boats or time in old Finnish, but it could also be a Japanese word. Nobody knows after 400 years.

Re: What does your name mean?
When I was in high school I won this big ol' state essay contest sponsored by the US Institute of Peace. Naturally, they invited me down to the national conference in Washington DC, so my essay (Transitions to Democracy in Benin and Togo: A Comparative Analysis) could be judged against the other 49 state winners. (Yes, yes, I am a genius, thank you very much, thank you.)

While we were there, we participated in a roleplaying simulation concerning Turkey's possible accession to the European Union. We were each given a role and a position to take on the process, so we had something to during bargaining.

I was assigned the role of General Mehmet Battuta, representing the Turkish National Security Council. My job was to threaten to overthrow the government if they did anything too liberal (i.e. recognizing the rights of Kurds to exist.)

It pleased me. I enjoyed it. I completed this task with great gusto.

I have stuck with the moniker ever since.

In reality I have nothing against Kurds, of course; it was just fun to play a hard-liner. Also, my essay took second nationally, which was pretty cool at that age.

I got mine from a radio show fake commercial where the general message was "Don't chew tinfoil"

as for my real name Matt is shortened from Matthew which has some sort of biblical reference.
My last name means some sort of small east European flower.

Michael Harbor.

Except no. The closest equivalent is safe haven for boats, not harbor. There is no single English word that would do the trick in here. Note that it could also be an old word for time in certain part of Finland.

Yeah, my login name is my real first name.

Re: What does your name mean?
My online name comes from the game Tyrian, which was my first favorite game.  I had played others before, but none that I liked as much as that one.

My real name has a long translation.  According to some sources it is "Good Demon King of the Forest."

Bush (Verb) -- To do stupid things with confidence.

This year, both Groundhog Day and the State of the Union Address occurred during the same week.  This is an ironic juxtaposition of events--one involves a meaningless ritual in which we look to a creature of little intelligence for prognostication, while the other involves a groundhog.
