Sandwich, kudos for this work, man!
Concerning the last cutscene/monologue, that was Alpha 1, as Venom said.
There's something else I noticed in a FS1 download I got somewhere (I think it might have been the FS Reference Bible) that had preliminary write-ups and notes concerning FS1 as it was being scripted by

and Interplay. In this DL, the texts of all the monologues were included. But I noticed something extra in the final monologue. The final paragraph of the final monolgue read like this:
"I'M TOLD WE CAN EXPECT THEM AGAIN. BUT NOT IN MY LIFETIME. SUCH IS LIBERATION.
"MAY YOU LIVE TO SEE YOUR HOME."
Of course, as we all know, that final line about living to see home was dropped from the monologue; none of us who finished FS1 heard that line.
And technically, "liberation" is the wrong word to use; we hadn't been conquered by the Shivans, we were simply at war with them. They came close to wiping us out, true, but being militarily occupied by another race is MUCH different than being exterminated by them. You can't exactly be liberated if you were never under occupation in the first place. "Such is victory" would have been a better sentence to use than "Such is liberation." But that's just me and my English/Literature college education talking.
Lots of stuff was dropped from FS1 according to these Reference Bible notes. There were scripts of cutscenes that had to be dropped for space reasons; one memorable cutscene showed Shivan marines (without spacesuits!) pouring out of the Lucifer when it attacked Tombaugh Station just after the SC Taranis was captured by the GTA. Another cutscene that was dropped involved a bar brawl between Terran and Vasudan pilots after the Shivans had appeared.
It all looked to be nice stuff. Too bad it didn't make the cut.
Ok, back on topic: Sandwich, again, very nice stuff here. Most impressive. I salute you and your hard work.

Oh, BTW, is there any way to get these renders onto the HLP FS Story section?
