Something recently struck me.  Does anyone else think it is hypocritical for the Neo-Terran Front to be using Deimos class corvettes.  Seeing as the advertised propoganda of the NTF is the hated of the alliance with the Vasudan race, surely that hatred should extend to all aspects of the alliance, including teconological advances.  Therefore, they should not be using Deimos, seeing as they are powered by a Vasudan designed power core.  Additionally, can anyone confirm to me that the NTF have Ullyses class fighters, seeing as they were another joint design and build?

Good thoughts, but I think that only a bunch of stupid idiots wouldn't use Deimos corvettes and Ulysses fighters.

Everything in the GTCv Deimos except for the engine core is Terran so the NTF could have used that ship despite racism.

The GTF Ulysses was a joint design but Ulysses wings in the hands of the NTF could only accomodate Terran pilots. They were "Terran" as well.

The rebels used the Ulysses more than once, I think. Take a look at the very final stages of the rebellion(blackades, pursuits, battle near the Knossos).

The NTF is a rebellion. Given choice, yes, they probably wouldn't use Ulysses, Myrmidons, Deimoses, or anything with Vasudan joint engineers. However, they don't have the resources to just massively churn out NTF Iceni class vessels to use as corvettes and stuff.

If the rebellion had progressed better and was less of a meat shield for ETAK, they may have eventually stopped using joint T-V designs altogether, but at that point where we step in the in FS2 campaign, they wouldn't really have had the time to replace an entire class of fighters and corvettes.

Put it this way, if they found an unguarded, unmanned Hatshepsut, do you think they'd keep it or blow it up due to their principles?  It might be hypocritical but more importantly, it's practical.

Which one would that be? If it's one of those Interplay "Best Fan-Made Mission Gets Packed in with the Next FS2 Release" things then I completely and utterly oppose anything saying that it's even semi-canon.
