I am trying to make a Shivan stealth ship using the SF Astaroth. But I don't know how I can edit the model. I have it in the modeling program, but can't do anything to it.  D:

I wanted to add 2 more missle banks, and shorten the two spikes aiming forwards (also widening the back wing parts to make up for this).  I would then (once content with the model) proceed to give it the AWAC capabilities and such.

So I ask, how would I be able to do this?

Stealth and AWACs are just table entry edits.
You can add missile banks and gun points in PCS2.
Editing the actual geometry (shortening the wings), you will need your modeling program.

What modeling program do you suggest?

For ease of getting it back into POF format, I would suggest TrueSpace (since you're going to need it anyway).
However, you would probably want to use something with a less-clunky interface if you're actually editing...

I have a program (from Warcraft) that uses mdx/mdl format. And I'm familiar with it. Is there a converter I could use o get it to mdl format? or would GMax (I have it) work better. I can't seem to get my file to open in GMax when I use "Save As". :/

Ok. Well I have GMax12. Would that suffice? Also, what should I do since it doesn't want to open a gmax type file. :/
