While it's great for my portfolio it sucks for me as a Bud drinker.   :(

You think that's bad? Molson Canadian was bought out by an American company, which was in turn bought out by a Japanese company.

Sounds all too familiar..
Though on the positive side, some of the people fed up with this corporate stuff will turn their look to smaller breweries, creating new market for otherwise niche products.

There's a hops shortage so those small breweries are being forced to raise their prices or change their formula.  Can't afford that I drink too many.  From what I've seen you will have a tough time finding hops to brew your own.

True, the future doesn't look too promising considering the beer pricing :(
Luckily I've managed to reduce my consumption considerably during the last few years.

why was the budweiser destroyed?

budweiser represented the american dream, something The Rest of the world could look up and see hope. They could see a glimmer of happiness in Budweiser. this lead to questioning; to question the wisdom of their leaders as they are

that's why budweiser was bought. Think about This:
busch = busch - c (where c= speed of light).... hope u see where I am coming from.

Bush represents the old world. Speed of light is the truth, it is a constant in our world something that cannot be faked. Therefore: when you take the speed of light away the truth is gone.

Budweiser was the beacon of hope and the truth away = no more hope. Its because the beer might be bad but it represented something we didn't know.

hope this opens your eyes.

peace.
lol wtf

Think Coors is owned by a South African firm.  Or maybe that's Miller.  Either way Bud was the last of the major beer distributors that was American owned.

theres a brewery not far from here and they make pretty good beer (same beer the cops were drinking in the movie insomnia). but a 6 pack of their beer is really expensive. so i just get my favorite imports and usually pay less.

How much do you pay for 1 liter beer in the USA?
Just curious :>

You do realise this will change very little, and it would probably cost IB more to move production out of the USA thanks to the weak-ass dollar?

Soda does. And I'm willing to bet that you can find a beer that's sold in a 2-liter bottle.

  :eek2: :shaking:

Please tell me that I read that the wrong way.  :nervous:

well, bear here is normally sold in 0,5 liter bottles, but i thought having it as price per liter would make a comparison easier :>
