of yellow nebulae?  yellow is a far cry from the bright red orange and pale biege. I have no problem with  making them myself, but I just find it odd, especially since (IIRC, it's been 7 years) FS I had some.

Well, I would use yellow nebulae...if there was any. Not bright yellow, more of a darker one so its not so blinding.

There is already a thread on this. I merged them together.

I made some yellow nebulas for my campaign many years ago, back in the retail days when they had to be 256x256 images, but most people didn't like the color in the screenshots I posted so I got rid of them. I remember someone calling it "ugly mustard yellow."

Edit: I just realized I posted the .TGA ones... *facepalm*. Anyone know of a program that can batch convert to .DDS?

Really orange nebulae are just as bad sometimes, especially when there's a Typhon involved, because it it brown and blue.

Err ... black nebulae wouldn't show up against the black of space.  There are some silhouetted black cloud nebulae in LS's nebula pack, but that's the closest you're going to get.

The ones I had made were pretty much that same shade of yellow. I thought they looked nice (for their time, anyway) but the color was not popular, at least back then.

You can use nvDXT to convert them.

I used it to convert all the PI nebula files at some point, although I don't remember now exactly what I did. You can probably pass in a .* filename into it to do batches.
