Possible bug. Messages not seen in multi for red-alert missions

This happened in a TBP test today.  At least 2 of the clients couldn't see any messages during the game  No ingame chat or FRED event messages could be seen.  Haven't had a chance to test it yet. 
No-one ever listens to Zathras. Quite mad, they say. It is good that Zathras does not mind. He's even grown to like it. Oh yes. -Zathras

Yeah, I figured there would be issues using red-alert in multiplayer.
