As an interesting side note, the rights to FreeSpace cost an awful lot of money. Planning to buy them and then sell them to Mirco$oft makes little sense, since if Micro$oft were even remotely interested in the rights, they'd buy them straight away.

Proper HLP etiquette seems to have been ignored, indeed. On other instances as well, in addition to this one.

Incidentally, the FS3 threads aren't annoying themselves. It's more the fact that nothing new ever comes with them. It's always the same old "Hey, let's gather money and buy the rights!" or "Hey, I have money, I'll buy the rights!" or "Hey, let's make our own FS3!" ****. Hmm. Well, that Microsoft part was new this time.

Sgtbiel - FS3 threads aren't looked upon too kindly around here, as the somewhat vitriolic posts firther down should suggest. The current situation makes it unlikely that there'll be a sequel, and most people wouldn;t want one that isn't made by [V] anyway.

Please try and avoid threads like this in fututre, and everyone else, try to chill out a bit with the newbies, OK?
