Sound recording advice, i'm having one of "those" days today..

Been out all day trying to find chain-oil and 2-stroke 50:1 engine oil for my Chainsaw couldn't find the second item so work set for today has been postponed.
So i went to the GYM for a quick half hour, too hot to do more.

So i thought, "bored, what to do........I know i'll play that SWF file i posted earlier and try to record it in another prog so i can export it as an .ogg /.mp3."

Only........ Nothing gets recorded when i hit the button, so i'm picking brains here as the realtek audio controller is all over the bloomin shop with recording devices and i can't frankly remember how to do it :s

Umm... hmm. I do remember that it occasionally takes some effort to get all the settings right. But I suppose it would be good to check from Wind'ohz's sound settings that Realtek Audio Input is selected as the recording device. And then check the same thing for the program you use for recording. Personally I prefer Audacity. With Audacity, I'm not absolutely sure whether it's even related or not but it wouldn't hurt to check that on the main window, you have Stereo Mix selected from the drop-menu.

Oh, hang on. I'll try to record it from the swf.

Edit: K, mp3 and ogg.

another choice for playing with sound files is samplitude by magix......
you can find it "free" (coughs) on the net , i use this all the time for mixing music for shows as i find it a little easier and complete than audacity


(cough)= torrent +crack
