After having played the FSPort Main Freespace Campaign, when I try to play the FS2 campaign, at the weapon select screen for "Surrender, Belisarius!", there's nothing available to equip. This is after removing all of the FSPort files; having them resulted in an error message before getting to the "Welcome to the Aquitaine" command briefing, don't recall what it said. After removing and reinstalling, there are weapons available, but quantity of 0 on all of them.

I also can't access my pilot in the Barracks; attempting to do so causes FS2 to crash.

Anyone know what the issue might be?

Do you still have the FSPort mod selected while trying to play the main FS2 campaign?  If so either select MediaVP's or no mod in the launcher. 

It's also best not to use the same pilot for multiple campaigns.  Try creating a new pilot and see if that fixes the problem.

, move the fsport files away from \freespace2\. They come before the FS2 files alphabetically, so the game engine reads them before the FS2 files, which results in the FSPort tables being used. And they don't get along with FS2 stuff all that well.

And this is why FSO is so much more fun. You can have mods in their own subfolders and select the appropriate folder with the Launcher. If you want to switch mods, just select another folder (and create a new pilot). With retail, you have to put the mod files to \freespace2\ and once you've played through the mod, you'll have to move the mod files away.

Edit: Hmm. You did mention removing the FSPort files, but then said something about "reinstalling". You didn't put them back, did you? In any case, you could delete \freespace2\data\cache. And more importantly, just create a new pilot file. It is the general recommendation to have one pilot for each mod.

He won't have a cache on retail. IBX generation is FS2_Open only.
