I'm extremely jealous of you having cool events like this. You better post some photos of the models :p

You're in Denmark, right? There are similar events over there, especially since it's the home of Lego. There are also many in Germany.

Re: Brickfair 2008 - Who's up for it?
All my bricks are tucked away safe in plastic storage until I have my own place to unpack them. I don't have any intact models at the moment. :(

Eventually I'm going to buy a whole set of these and spend an entire weekend sorting and organizing by size, shape and color. Then I'll finally be able to do some serious custom building.

Just make sure you keep those plastic storage thingies away from anything else. My fledgling lego re-collection got binned when the cardboard boxs got mixed up with aload of car parts I had collected and they went to the tip last year.... :(
Must have been atleast £200 ($400 approx ?) worth if stuff. Some rare & unusual kits too.  :(

Incidentally, I'm in a similar position with my Airfix nostalgia trip. Got hold of some really awesome kits (some imported direct from Japan and the US) but I've nowwhere to put them once built. The boxs are just sitting atop of a wardbobe, collecting dust.

Anyway, yeah someone better take a camera!

I think we ought to find someplace to have lunch/dinner of some sort one one of those days, assuming people's schedules are not too busy. :)

Re: Brickfair 2008 - Who's up for it?
I was pretty busy during the public expo today, but there is still tomorrow left and I'll be around for most of the day. I would be up for anything the rest of you might have in mind.

I have taken about 150 pictures so far which I will upload after the event is over. My new model has been a real focus of attention in the space section due to its height and pneumatic functionality. I also got a rather unexpected award, with one of my older models apparently catching the Lego employees' eyes.

Goober has been there as well for the last two days, and I believe Galemp is going to come during the expo tomorrow. Should be another fun day. :)

:bump:

I had forgotten about this, but I took a video of the Great Ball Contraption and posted it up on YouTube.  Click to watch.

(And for some reason I can't seem to comment on my own video, otherwise I'd answer the guy that posted there.)
