Karajorma's gone crazy!
Karajorma has almost a bugfix a day for the last 11 days.  I've been keeping an eye on the commit log and haven't seen this much bugfixing in quite some time.  I'm sure everyone's busy on their own coding, whether be a separate branch or other bugs, but his is the only one I've been able to quantify in such a distinct manner.  To you Kara, and everyone, keep up the good work!

Karajorma's faq was invaluable when I was just starting out with the SCP and all these bug fixes do not go unnoticed...even from a lurker...  Thank you to Karajorma and all the other programmers keeping SCP bug free and beautiful.

Liquor and flowers then. Best of both worlds.

Re: Karajorma's gone crazy!
Again guys, this was more meant as a thank you to all the bug fixing that is to come before 3.6.10, it just seems like Kara has an early start and I felt like pointing that out.  I wouldn't go too overboard or you'll make some other devs jealous  :nervous:

Re: Karajorma's gone crazy!
Well part of the reason I seem to be working harder is cause I tend to commit lots of little fixes rather than save them up and commit them all at once. But yeah, I've been coding harder than usual the last couple of weeks. I'm in a bug fixing mood and I'm trying to milk it for all it's worth while I can. :)

Re: Karajorma's gone crazy!
I think it would be awesome if the devs had some sort of friendly contest or something now to get as many bugs fixed as quickly as possible for 3.6.10.

Why do you think I'm working so hard? I'm trying to beat Taylor's record. At this rate it should only take me about 5 years. :D

Re: Karajorma's gone crazy!
Kara got the standalone to not crash immediately, maybe that's a good place to start now.  I hope to get a standalone running if it ever becomes stable enough.

Re: Karajorma's gone crazy!
There's a rather nasty bug with EFFs that is preventing me testing anything other than retail FS2 with the stand alone at the moment though. Unfortunately the graphics code gives me the heebee geebees so I'm not going anywhere near that if I can help it.

On the other hand I just fixed support ships in multiplayer coop (which had been broken since retail) so it might be worth looking at that. I'll look at the TvT bugs with support ships tomorrow but to be honest I'm not exactly sure what they are and this Mantis report is worryingly vague.

Re: Karajorma's gone crazy!
It's basically that if both teams call for support whatever team called first both support ships show up friendly to.  So if Alpha and Zeta both call for support and Zeta hits it first then both Alpha's and Zeta's support will be friendly to Zeta but hostile to Alpha.  Doesn't prevent rearming but interferes with missiles and targeting thus giving the advantage to one team over the other.

The warping Gany is another thing entirely.  If you did something like calling a support ship, destroying it and I can't remember the rest you would cause the Ganymede installation in MT07 and the other Gany TvT mission to warp out.  It was pretty fun to do so I think it as more of a feature then a bug.

Re: Karajorma's gone crazy!
Try this build. I think the fix I added last night seems to have gotten it (At least I saw nothing odd in my tests). I also added built in messages back in TvT. I can't understand for the life of me why :v: thought it was a good idea to let the server get them but deliberately filter them out in all TvT missions for the client.

He's at it again folks.  My inbox just got flooded with Mantis emails from stuff he's working on.
