I was just about to make the VP's, so I was copying the folder from my Freesapce2/COTS folder to another to arrange them.. I messed up.. I deleted EVERYTHING. (almost everything - the cb nims, hud, effects, interface and a few other folder were copied..but the ships, maps, tables and missions folders weren't..and they are the critical ones)

I need a good data recovery program

I selected my FOW_COTS folder and wanted to copy/paste it .. and I begun copying it but aborted hte copy, since I recalled I wanted to organize it a bit differently. When I checked my FS2/COTS folder it was EMPTY.

I think I managed to get everything back tough.. It's a bit disorganized, but I think everything is there. Phew..I almost got a heart attack.

All or most of the Fredders should ahve the models too I would assume as they'd need them to build the missions.

Yeah, I do, but not of everything, and not the most recent ones.

I did some minor tweaks, like adding proper insignias to ALL fighters...

I can salvage this...I'll need time to track down all the models and tweak them again, and to re-make 2-3..fortunately I have the truespace scenes..

Of curses....it's never simple with me, is it?

Yeah, but stuff like this happens to me ALL THE TIME. No exceptions. Everything I do, there's always complications at the end.


Anyway, I've been looking around on a few sites, trying to find all the models I've been using. Seems I'm missing some.

EDIT: Found a few more after some intense digging...I think I got almost everything, but I'll have to tweak most of them again (mostly POF data changes)

try having half a dozen mental dissabilities sometime, then try to fit in with society without degrading yourself to wearing you pants at the knees, and wearing your hat backwards. 

and i still have the original FOWCOTS shippack lying around if you need it.

Don't think it will be necesarry (I have that same pack anyway, but it's a bit outdated). I tracked down everything I could (I think)

I already fixed and updated the fighters.

Still have to fix the Blade and Orion Mk2 (optimize texture usage..PCS work only), and re-convert 3 models I never uploaded or gave to anyone..apart from that, I think I'm in the clear. Further testing will be needed.

God willing, the Beta will be ready by Monday, maybe Sunday.
