Editorial: The Only Good Wizard is a Dead Wizard

In the past, this newspaper has expressed a strong anti-magic stance that may have offended some of our readers. We deeply apologize for those past bad acts, and, by way of reconciliation, we offer this hearty endorsement of the Festival of Jarlsberg. As the streets are flooded with well-wishers, vendors, and louts, let us remember why we celebrate.

Accounts of Jarlsberg's life, as sketchy and unreliable as they are, indicate that he was an excellent man as well as a powerful wizard. His alleged good humor and his alleged charity and goodwill towards his fellow man are reason enough to celebrate him. Most importantly, though, Jarlsberg is dead, and has been dead for many years.

We encourage all magic users in the Kingdom to seek to emulate their hero in all possible ways as they make merry on this Festival of Jarlsberg. Let us all raise a glass for his sterling example.

You buy access to the VIP room with a Mr A. I have a fair bit of cash so I could afford one but I don't think anyone plays enough now to be able to get one. I want to start playing again at some point soon though.

Got back into it myself not too long ago. Quite a few changes from what I remember, so lots of exploring to do in interesting new zones For now though, I'm just ascending to get down some more skills as well as hunting for some trophies.

Killed the boss slime monster in the basement, so there be loot to distribute A rather impressive hat (Hardened Slime Hat) and a yucky gland (Slime-soaked sweat gland). You guys can work it out among yourselves if you want since I didn't do any of the work to actually clear the place. That said, if anyone wants to trade a piece of hobopolis loot for that sweat gland, I'd be willing to talk, since we also have plenty of that still to be distributed

I do intend to start another run at it as soon as those are distributed so I can get in on the action, though, and apparently I can't do so while there's still loot to hand out so don't take too long to figure out who gets what

I could assign you Ol' Scratch's ol' britches, of which we have one, and which according to the KoL wiki can be zapped into the ash can. How does that sound? All you'd need is a wand from the Dungeons of Doom and enough patience to get the result you want without exploding the wand

Well, BloodEagle has what he wants (or at least can zap what he got into what he wants), Karajorma is going on holiday and noone else seems to care, so just going to distribute the rest (while trying to avoid any duplicates for anyone), and then open up the dungeons again so we can get MORE LOOT!
