The self-forging thing is pretty cool in concept, but having seen various videos of the thing being demo'd at White Sands, as far as visual effect goes it falls far short of an MLRS rocket at night.

Axem - Sorry to post again when I said I was leaving for good, but something was nagging me. I don't want to say it in a way that shames the campaign but I think we can all agree it is actually.. incomplete. It is missing... Voice Acting.
Quanto - I for one would love to lend my beautiful singing voice into this wholesome project.
Nuclear1 - I want a duet.
AndrewofDoom - Make it a trio!

They all don't compare to the one and best known weapon of them all:  The Human Mind.  It took that to create them in the first place and without it they are all useless.

You go through the four week Enlisted Aircrew Undergraduate Course, a 23-day Aerial Gunner course, and then about 20 days or so of various survival schools.  I went through the former with some prospective AC-130 gunners last year.  Apparently you learn how to operate just about any gun mounted on the AC-130, HH-60, MH-63, etc. and then get your assignment when you reach your duty station.
