Re: Buying a new MP3 player. Suggestions?
I bought my sister a Sansa 2GB mp3 player and the EQ is just terrible in it, so im staying away from sandisk. I also had an ipod nano 1st gen but i hated the navigation on the wheel and itunes.

Which Sansa?  I'm looking at the Fuze.
All I know is the old Creative MuVo has better quality than the Shuffle.

Just out of curiosity, why do none of these MP3 players throw in AM radio as well?  Are the required components too big for the size they're going for?

Hey, Nuke, how much do you know about rockbox? Can you translate the progress from the new port thread for all of the sansa V2 players into layman's terms for me?  :nervous:

it doesnt appear that theyve gotten far with the v2 sanza. the last post from one of the developers for that port seems to have indicated that they are still working on a bootloader and that it is currently "not safe to run"

What the hell do you listen to on AM Radio? All the good channels are on FM.

(Well, and news, too, but primarily sports.)

Ah, that would explain it. The only sports I care about are Badminton and Archery, and those don't get broadcast much.

Back on Topic, my Creative Zen died the other day, finally succumbing to the many drops it went through during its lifetime. I plan on buying another one this weekend, possibly upgrading from the 8GB model to the 16GB one.
