For some reason when i apply ITDOH Chap 2 as my selected campaign, when i start up FS2, its not selectable in the campaign screen.


Any solutions?

Ive done it normally just as id do any other campaign. All the other campaigns ran well , i just finished playing ITDOH Chap 1 which was installed exactly the same way as chapter 2.



Forgive my hopeless newbiness, but im not sure how to make a screenshot of a folder.

Please dont hurt me.

Print screen, paste on paint and upload to an image hosting website of your choice.

Fixed.

Main folder was in a sub-folder and had to be 'bought up' to the main FS2 directory.

Just needed to use my brain

     Really? I'm just playing through chapter 2 myself and I find that in most missons I don't even need to be there. Not entirely a good thing. Still some fun pyrotechnics.

I played some missions of Chapter 1 and gave up once I had encountered every imaginable typo of the word "Sathanas".

Yeah i think certain missions are overkill - but there are some that when the battle is in full pitch the GTVA gets in trouble  - especially when those damned Vindhyacahals jump in.

I do apologize, but for the most part I was trying for some truly epic in scale on a tactical level.  I also really try for the "Ah crap, now what?" factor.

I was more bothered by the wonky, unoriginal ship naming, lack of escort list on many missions, and Helios-toting Myrmidons (hate hate hate!) than the mission design.

The explosions, story, and scale are all wonderful. I don't care if I don't have to do anything, I'm content with just watching things blow up.

       Er, I'm a little confused by chapter 2 so far. Missions which should be red-alerts are not. And Alpha wing is sent on missions that last like, 2 minutes during which Alpha wing does virtually nothing. I don't get it. ie

When the derelict Demon is put out of its misery by the Hedetet. What was the point of that mission?

The Demon is hardly derelict by that point. The point of that mission is to resolve the problem of the renegade demon. And to show off the Hedetet.

        So the mission right before that doesn't accomplish the same thing? I did something too, got a capital ship kill from a minor vessel. But anyway, I'll keep playing it til I'm done.

What the hell's with the mission where Command thinks it's a good idea to send Alpha 1 in an Artemis Bomber all alone against an entire Shivan fleet? Yeah fancy torpedo, can fly a long way, and get shot down the whole way too. Why not a stealth bomber at least? Baffling. This is in chapter 3 anwyay

Normally there is no problem with the mission. I don't think the weapon bug is present anymore and it will carry the torpedo in the ship like it should.

Just get into range, fire it from about 15km out, and head back to the node fast before the Astaroths get to you. If they reach you, then terminate them at the node away from the rest of the Shivan force and then jump out. It will destroy the node. Always use duel mode and if you want to be sure, target the center of the node like the crystal or core. Is it that hard? Very easy mission. Maybe the Artemis makes it more of a challenge to get away since it is slower. You don't even have to get close anyways. You want it to be too easy?

     Node? Erm, thought I was after the Dis not the node. Maybe I read the brief wrong.

Okay I still don't get this mission. I've fired 4 torps at the Comm Node about 11 times. It never goes below 10%. I fired Torps instead at the Rahu, thinking it will take out the ship with its explosion. It doesn't. I actually went low enough that the Ravana didn't intercept the torps. But still, Rahu gone, nothing happened. So instead I try to go down and fire at the Dis directly, the range of the torp is about 11500 or thereabouts. I got to about 14000 before the Astaroths ripped me a new one. Beta Wing is useless, AI ships given the order cover me never keep up to you if you direct power to engines.

I don't get it.

Nevermind, I got er done. Torpedo managed to get through somehow. Yay.

I particularly loved that mission where you have to fire a torp right into the center of what looks like a massive shivan installation but is actually just 4 shivan juggernauts and a comm node.


Hit the dead center of the comm node with my first torp and watched the whole thing go boom Loved it
