Saints Row Two, another :V: classic on its way.

First onew was like GTA but with less stringent linear-ness :nervous: @ grammar. So it was more fun. for instance the whole playable area was opened from the start. The shops have the option to rob them, and you can even crack their safes.

I really enjoyed the first one and fully intend to buy this ASAP.

I'm not sure 'classic' is the right word to describe anything V does these days.

Come on there must be more saints row fans here somewhere. I prefer it to GTA in some ways. . .

It was surprisingly good for a GTA clone.  I loved the garage car picking feature, and was very surprised GTA4 didn't rip it off.  I'll play Saint's Row 2 someday, but I gotta finish the first one first ;)

Talking of :v:, I played a multiplayer demo of Red Faction: Guerrilla at PAX.  It was amazing.  Finally GeoMod done right.  And you don't need a rocket launcher to witness it -- the player's default powered sledgehammer is enough.  Totally changes multiplayer gameplay.  Camper at a chokepoint?  Smash through the wall!  Powerup visible through a window?  Smash through the wall!  Can't be arsed to walk around from the back to the front door of the building?  Smash through the wall! :D

RF1 had great multiplayer, actually that was it's only good feature (well aside from the geomod...), and they took it out of the sequel :doubt:

Bump

A: This game is awesome and you should all buy it. For console. Because...
B: The PC port of this game is utter ****; I'm developing strong feelings of contempt for Volition and a great reluctance to give them any more of my money ever again. On Windows 7 it runs at like three million frames per second. Driving is basically impossible--well, make that driving without crashing every five to ten seconds is impossible.
I will ask that you explain yourself. Please do so with the clear understanding that I may decide I am angry enough to destroy all of you and raze this sickening mausoleum of fraud down to the naked rock it stands on.

Re: Saints Row Two, another :V: classic on its way.
The PC port wasn't really Volition's fault, they got some other company to port it to the PC.

Apparently the PC port of Red Faction Guerilla was pretty good.

Yeah, that's what I've heard. I actually have it, I just can't seem to get it working. :\

Played Saints Row a little bit, but not much, I tend to get lost in just wandering around finding humorous ways to hurt people and forget to do the storyline...

Yeah, haven't had any difficulties with it. Well, aside from the difficulty. Then someone on some forum told me the way to play the game was on easy, and I haven't looked back since.

I don't care. Their response to this problem is 'we do not support windows 7'.

**** you too, guys.

Re: Saints Row Two, another :V: classic on its way.
a better response would have been it was their fault for out sourcing the port.
