I'm getting serious problems it says something all the time with most of my campaigns and I installed them right just like told too and all but I get message like this all the time when starting missions or something sometimes like this : ---------------------------

If you're getting this error with most/all campaigns, you most certainly haven't installed something correctly. Obviously something that has a ship/something called "Event Horizon".

Please run a debug build (an FSO .exe with the name ending to "debug" or "d"). Then, find a file called fs2_open.log from your \freespace2\data\ folder and post its contents here, either as an attachment or with the "code" tags.

The Event Horizon is a Boadicea-class base.

So most likely this is about the Derelict vp(s) being in \freespace2\.

even so now I get this when I start the mission to go to it from the ready room I get the event horizen error and then when I start the mission I get this and I press ok all the time and it keeps appearing tell me exactly what to do I need more info here it is :Error: Invalid subsystem 'asteroid02a' passed to hits-left-subsystem

Edit: Actually, I think you're trying to play the Derelict campaign with a wrong mod. If you switch mods, you must also switch the active campaign from the in-game Campaign Room. Or preferrably create separate pilots for each mod.

First, what are you actually trying to do, and what is the problem? Are you trying to play the Derelict campaign, or are you trying to play something else.

Basically what Snail said. Write coherently. In sentences. Please. Also, describe your problem more accurately. Saying things like "I've done everything" or "I've installed everything correctly" doesn't really tell or mean anything. Especially the latter.

Ok, I'm on the mission in the derelict Campaign and all called Acceptable Losses I have fixed the problem before I found out it had to do with what was in my mediavps folder but when I supposedly beat this mission it goes to the debriefing and all I hit accept and it says that I failed the mission even though I did all the objectives. So I decided to try and skip the mission which I did and then it just goes back to the same mission acceptable losses. PS: this is as much as I can give for info that I know

I think someone needs to learn more judicious use of commas and periods.

What build of Launcher and MediaVPs are you using? If you are using MediaVPs 3.6.10 Beta or an old version of the Launcher, which are known to be buggy, errors do tend to crop up.

Also, where are the MediaVPs for Derelict stored on your system? They should be in their on folder inside the Freespace 2 main folder.

Psst. Just so that we won't confuse anyone, build and Launcher are two different things. A build is a version of the game engine (fs2_open_somethingoranother.exe), whereas the Launcher is merely a tool for configuring options for the build.

And for the third time I'd like to ask our good friend Hanyuu271 to run a debug build and post the file called "fs2_open.log" from \freespace2\data here, so that at least I could confirm some details.

Are you using a release build or a debug build? Debugs don't work [usually] for running campaigns. Debug versions usually say 'debug', or just 'd'. Release versions either don't say anything or 'r'.
