I like the Colossus in the way that there's no beam blind spot you can sneak in like the Sathanas. If a powerful ship attacked the Sathanas from broadside or rear there's no way the Sathanas can easily destroy it. It can't be said for the Colossus though . . . 

That pretty much fits Terran methodology.

Eh, the Sath can turn. And no Terran or Vasudan capship (including the Colossus), sans table editing, has enough firepower to take the Sath down before it turns around and mops up.

That's true if the mission where a Sathanas is involves isn't built the way the devs did it.
i.e. the Sathanas sits around like a brick on the ground.

Actually, the Sathanas was never stationary.

It was always advancing. Even when it was being attacked by the Sobek in "A Monster in the Mist", it was moving forward, likely because it was trying to get somewhere and it didn't deem the Sobek much of a threat.

What you're thinking of is the SD Eva. Which doesn't move at all while you sit there and bomb it to dust.

Oh I agree with that. The Sathanas will waste any ship that it gets in front of it. Because Shivans concentrate all their firepower forward. What I really just meant to say was talk about the various design methodology of the different ships. Not really commenting on their firepower.

Well if you count the AAAfs yes, it has beams to all directions. Compare this to the Aten which only has beams to the top.
Of course with any race you get to the point where the ships are so small the rules don't really apply that much anymore. But the Deimos, Hecate and Orion all have anti-cap beams firing all over instead of concentrated in one place. They don't have that many blindspots, but at the same time they cannot quite concentrate everything on one target.

Every mission with snipes, his dialogue is a riot. Especilly in Love the Treson he says, "Those core detontors were a piece of junk. I even followed the directions" made me lose it. then of course DIVE DIVE DIVE!

Also the end of homesick just after the custodian is disabled and cant jump out. i almost cried

But hmm...the best moment would have to have been when I got roasted by the SD Beleth's beam cannon after finally taking down all the beams on the Sathanas after fifteen tries. Oh wait, that moment sucked. I swore.

Haha, that happened to me too when I was trying to take out those frakkin beams, but I was whacked by friendly Beams instead of the SD Beleth (I have really bad luck that way, friedly fire isn't friendly).  I had to leave the room, and went outside for a smoke.  I don't smoke.
