Can you guys help me make a definitive list of capships that for sure died in Capella during the Shivan invasion?

Terran, Vasudan, AND Shivan.

I can remember two:

SD Beast
GTVA Colossus

Caps are considered cruiser class and above.

*If you screw up royally, these two could have escaped through the node (or wind up disabled in which case the supernova never happens).

No capital ships died in Capella during the Shivan Invasion. Capital ships are not living things. (Well, at least, T-V ships aren't.)

Also sometimes the GVC Heket and the GVCv Khepri (although only if you're not doing much and you let the SC Hela run rampant).

No - Vigilant was patrolling near the G-Drax node in Capella. The Rahshasa jumped into the system and wasted it

That was the GTCv Monitor. And it doesn't die. Unless you mess up Endgame royally. It never gets attacked by a Shivan.

The Hela thrashes the Khepri first...at least when I played through (it nearly died, if it was on a higher difficulty it would have bitten the dust).

And capships do die. Not just figuratively. Well, the people on them do, but they're technically a part of the ship.

To the officers and crew of the GTD Aquitaine, this is Admiral Petrarch. At 0115 hours, we received a transmission from 3rd Fleet Headquarters. A Shivan cruiser and three fighter wings ambushed and destroyed the GTC Vigilant as it patrolled the Gamma Draconis jump node in the Capella system.
