I had to kill the Trinity myself, to be allowed to continue the game. I think the Trinity is the only friendly you can kill and on get Traitor'd...I that or i used "¬" + "k" on it...can't remember which though

well the Trinity is never supposed to survive, though I don't understand why volition never included an autodestruct-sexp (it existed?.. I don't know) in order to prevent this kind of things... obviously the mission is well designed so that there's no way the Trinity survives and the mission can go on, but it should always be prevented when freding... I mean, it's like 1 or 2 hours more of freding to check everything that can possibly frack your mission... it's not that hard, and everyone will agree with me that finding yourself in the middle of a great campaign and stumbling upon this kind of bugs will get your mood for playing it to the ground.

Its not a bug if its the result of cheats. As a FREDder of any mission with depth and complexity, you have to assume a vast amount of actions to be impossible that would only be possible with cheats.

I only use cheats on ridiculously poorly balanced campaigns, and when testing of course.

of course, just making a point about that you can find a good quantity of badly freded missions, and that's what I was referring to, the type of freding did is remarcable and accurate, but of course, they did it with money (and I'm guessing time) so those missions were destined to be a good quality ones.
I wish I had time to get some missions and some backgrounds done... I'm waiting for the end of the year so I can devote myself to this a little more

Then again, most of the cheats ARE most useful for debugging missions.

That's a cheat that enables you to read the description of stuff you wouldn't know about by default, like certain ship classes, intelligence info or weapons. It's not a cheat like the others, though.
