Re: 3.6.10 Media VPs Discussion Thread
GLSL is turned off, hence why you don't see the processing of shaders in the log.

I doubt that it is what is causing the crash, and I'm only suggesting turning it of through -no_glsl to remove the step from the engine that attempts to process shader loading setup in the first place from happening.

Additionally, setting -novbo (In the launchers Troubleshooting section) may be necessary. But only after removing MV_Advanced.

Actually, that was the problem. I removed -normal and it works. I'm not even going to try running it with mediavp advanced.

Really? Every single log you've posted has said otherwise.

Missing dialogue in "Lion at the Door". You can hear command, but you can't hear the responding pilot. Anyone else with this problem?

Re: 3.6.10 Media VPs Discussion Thread
Is it too hard to read two posts in context? TrashMan asked:
Do hte newest Media VP's include ma-sdrvfix.vp and it's fixes? Should I delete it?

To which my answer was perfectly valid. (Yes they do include the fixed shaders, and yes, you should delete the ma-sdrvfix.vp)

Was that so hard to get?

Re: 3.6.10 Media VPs Discussion Thread
Can you honestly not read?

Note: In the following explanation, parts in square brackets ( "[" and "]" ) denote things that you should be able to infer from the text, also known as the "subtext".

The original question was a two-parter. Part 1: "Do the mediavps include ma-sdrvfix.vp?"

To which the answer is, YES [, they include the fixed shaders].

Part 2: "Should I delete it? ["it" being understood as a reference to ma-sdrvfix.vp, refer to part 1 of the question for details]"

To which the answer is also YES [, you should delete it].

Now, WHY you should delete shaders that are obsolete, may conflict with newer ones, AND ARE ****ING OBSOLETE, I leave to your imagination.

Look at that single post. Look at it from the view of someone who just popped in to see what was new.

Does the vp include blah blah blah. Should I delete it.
Not knowing what that VP was, I thought i'd ask something in shorthand.
Why would I wan't to delete it I asked in not so many words.
Then I had to repeat it.
Then I was patronised.

Is It obvious?

Re: 3.6.10 Media VPs Discussion Thread
I just noticed that the mediavps version of FS2_Btl_E02 is not the same as the original... one of the instruments sounds noticeably different. I don't like it.

So yeah, uh... wtf.

I really can't describe it. And regardless of tabling, it was messing up my playlist in Winamp, so I had to go replace it with the original version... the ogg versions don't really sound any better... unless my audio settings are just not good enough or something.
