Played the freespace port for the first time today, and I noticed that while you do get medals, they are just the Freespace 2 ones with different names. They are even on the same medal board as FS2. Are these going to be fixed in the near future?

Maybe in the far future. :)  Drawing new medal art is harder than you would think.

They're actually mostly recolors of the FS1 medals.
