XA versions of my fighters, the read-me has details on what was done to all of them. the thing worth noting though is that all of the fighters now have transparent canopies to combat that nasty opaque issue that has reared its ugly head. the canopies are not the greatest as these are the first instances where i have actually used transparencies on a fighter so i will probably clean up the canopy glass and frame geometry later down the line.

If you ask me, you did a NICE job Steve O! Thanks for the release! Guys like you are to be commended for such wonderful work :) I wish I could do some modeling as I would love to change a thing or two such as reversing the angle of the rear stabs on the Jackel and blunting the pointed tips for the larger wings. Please understand this is just my opinion only and has no reflection on your excellent work. That Wraith is just freakin sexy!  :yes:

The cockpits look really nice and to me, make the models that much more worth the effort.   :D

It's always amusing to take out a Lucifer in a Thor. ;7

I've looked at all of the fighters, amazing stuff, really glad they work now with the latest MediaVPs, but I've noticed two things (Maybe one), I'm not exactly sure about.


With lighting disabled so it's easier to notice the floating parts, whether or not this is because I don't have the weapons pack anymore I don't know, but I'm just pointing this out in case that's not the reason.

And the other is this:

This is the one I'm not entirely sure about, I don't remember if the Jackal had afterburner flame on the third version but when I do activate afterburner the exhaust flame disappears.

yeah the weapons i still owe un update on as some of the models were missing in the original fighter pack, and on top of that some of the effects were dated and have been changed out right or have starting making use of the 3.6.10 MVPs.


@Getter, go ahead and bash away! it'll void the warranty though...

No problem, this ship / weapon pack is by far my favorite of all time. :)

I was looking at the Wraith, I can't really get enough of staring at that ship with my jaw wide open, it's just that totally awesome, and I saw lettering on the Archer Cannon, and first thought it was a warning message, I decided to snoop with the texture files and found what it said...



Gave me a pretty good laugh, although I should mention that it's Intel, rather than Intell. ;)
Still clever, I looked at the Thor just in case I'd see another random subliminal message but didn't run into any.

Oh Intell was an intentional mispell... kinda like how in like family guy or other such shows parts of product names are blanked out or mispelled just enough to avoid having to pay royalties and such.

the fighters dont have those messages so much, i tend to put them more on weapon models, turrets and hanger bays. :)

Actually I just thought about it, will anything be done with the MiG Fighter's canopy and what of your capital ships?

I found out the MiG canopy was fixed in this ship release, so that's all good.
How's your weapons update going?

I'll admit this is a request of sorts, but any way to provide blank versions of those textures (i.e. no weird messages)? :lol: XD

Atmo sounds like some tuner car slang from somewhere in the southeast corner of the world map o_O

It would take a little work to doctor up the textures to clean out the messages and logos but it can be done. maybe i'll work that into a future update pack.

On that note, think I'm probably stuck with your older fighter packs for a long while...

I'm still using a really old version of the Lancer with the less detailed cockpit, without the external pylons and with the upper gun barrels sticking out :lol:

IIRC they were made in TrueSpace, and then converted with COB.  That method doesn't allow for any control over smoothing.
