Re: What are you listening to? - 2009 my ears are bleeding
Currently, I'm piecing a coherent version of "machinebattle" together with Audacity. Should be pretty cool once finished.

Does anyone know the origins of that track, or is it something Darius did entirely by himself? I've been told the sources of BP's music are quite varied.

In my world of sleepers, everything will be erased.
I'll be your religion, your only endless ideal.
Slowly we crawl in the dark.
Swallowed by the seductive night.

Yeah, especially "Aim" from Forced Entry.  Please tell me that song is staying in WiH.

17:37:11   SpardaSon21: even the males?
17:37:22   Quanto: its not gay if its an elf

[21:51] <@Droid803> this will be SLIIIIIGHTLY awkward
[21:51] <@Droid803> as this rich psychic girl will now be tsundere for a loli.
[21:51] <@Droid803> OH WELLL.

Forced Entry's song was called 'Razorback'. 'Aim' is from Curse of Prescience.

I asked earlier... but where did "machinebattle" come from? That one as well as "Razorback" are probably my favorite tracks in the mod.

God. I went to a sleepover, and to my dismay, when I got there, all my friends wanted to do was watch the FF7 movie.

And, lo and behold, while whatisface (Cloud?) was fighting... uhm... the demon thing... in the town square, I heard razorback.

So I lied to my friends and said they ripped that music from FS.
Sig nuked! New one coming soon!

Not a problem, you could hardly be expected to have every track memorized.

The "machineamb" tune originates from a track called "The Machine" made by the musician David Arkenstone, for the soundtrack for Westwood's Emperor: Battle for Dune, which was released in 2001. The "machineamb2" and "machinebattle" tunes all come from the "Harkonnen Force" track, also by the same artist.

The game has a few other good tracks in it, like "Victory is Inevitable" (orchestral electro-rock FTW) and "Fight in the Dunes,", the latter by Frank Klepacki, which is a sort of compilation remake of several tunes from Dune 2000 and Dune 2. I really like the dark percussion and orchestral style Frank uses. The soundtrack CD was released as part of a limited-release pre-order set; it might still be available somewhere (like eBay) BUT it does not contain all the game's tracks.
